It’s the largest division lead in the MLB, and Seattle’s largest division lead since 2001, when the Mariners won 116 games in total.

Seattle left home, and find themselves in Cleveland, Ohio as the American League Central-leading Guardians will play host to the M’s beginning Tuesday through Thursday.

Prior to Tuesday’s contest, 1B Ty France was reinstated (heel) from the Injured List. Catcher Seby Zavala was designated for assignment.

On Saturday, RHP Gregory Santos (60-day IL – Lat) threw a 30-pitch bullpen session. He mixed in all of his pitches. He’ll likely be cleared to face hitters in live BP sometime this week or next.

Cleveland is coming off of a series loss in Toronto. They hold a five-game lead in the American League Central over the Kansas City Royals.
