By not skipping a beat this season, Jordan Eberle has secured another piece in franchise history.
Eberle was named to the 2022 NHL All-Star Game on Thursday afternoon, becoming the first player in Kraken history slated to play in the contest. The NHL All-Star Weekend, set for Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena, will be held Feb. 4-5 at the home of the Vegas Golden Knights.
The game is Saturday, Feb. 5 at Noon PT.
Eberle will be making his second appearance in the All-Star Game for his career, leads the Kraken with 24 points in 33 games and is second with 12 goals. However, Eberle is on pace to hitting the 20-goal plateau for first time since 2017-18 when he scored 25 goals for the New York Islanders.
The 12thyear forward appeared at the 2012 NHL All-Star Game when he scored a current career high 34 goals in 78 games with Edmonton and recorded an assist in the contest.
Eberle has 253 goals and 575 points in 812 career NHL games and buried the first hat trick in Kraken history – and the fourth of his career – on Nov. 4 against Buffalo.
Eberle will skate in the All-Star Game for the Pacific Division team for fan-elected captain Connor McDavid, who skated for two seasons in Edmonton with Eberle from 2015-17.
Kraken captain Mark Giordano is also a nominee for the league’s fan-vote driven Last Men In campaign, offering four roster spots in the All-Star Game from a list of 32 eligible players.
