Sunday's normally scheduled Kraken This Morning podcast, occurring on game days, features a wrap up on Saturday night's 5-3 Kraken defeat to Edmonton, reaction from the booth and the Kraken, along with an exclusive conversation with Foster Hewitt Memorial Award recipient and Maple Leafs radio voice Joe Bowen.

The first aim the Seattle Kraken have at the Toronto Maple Leafs will have to wait, with the NHL announcing the postponement of the originally scheduled Sunday, Dec. 19 matchup between the two teams at Climate Pledge Arena due to COVID-19 protocol issues involving the Leafs and Vancouver Canucks on Saturday.

The Canucks added defenseman Tyler Myers on Saturday to COVID-19 protocol, joining Luke Schenn, Juho Lammkko, Tyler Motte, Brad Hunt, Tucker Poolman and assistant coach Jason King. The Maple Leafs added John Tavares, Wayne Simmonds, Alex Kerfoot and Jason Spezza to the list.

The Kraken announced with the game's postponement that all tickets for Sunday's Dec. 19 game will be valid at a late date (the exact date to be announced by the NHL).

The Kraken added defenseman Carson Soucy to the COVID-19 protocol list on Sunday afternoon, less than 24 hours after defenseman Jamie Oleksiak was also removed from the active roster and placed in protocol.

Games also for the Florida Panthers, Calgary Flames, Colorado Avalanche, Nashville Predators and Boston Bruins have been shut down through the holiday break, with the NHL implementing enhanced health measures which include daily testing (up from every three days), revised mask wearing guidelines, limited public exposure aside from home, hotels and venues, and virtual meetings or brief face-to-face encounters in well-ventilated spaces.

The Kraken, who cancelled a previously scheduled practice on Sunday, are scheduled to return to play Tuesday against the visiting Arizona Coyotes at 7:00pm PT.
