Official: Washington Hires Syracuse's Mike Hopkins

It didn't take long for Washington Huskies Athletic Director Jen Cohen to find the replacement for Lorenzo Romar. Mike Hopkins, an assistant with Syracuse, is the new head basketball coach, per Jon Rothstein's report.

Hopkins played guard at Syracuse from 1989-1993 before starting his coaching career at his Alma Mater in 1996 as an assistant. He then became the Interim Head Coach during the 2015-16 season before going back to his assistant position of 20 years this season.
