Jackson Mahomes, the younger brother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, appeared to announce his relationship with influencer Shyanne Blankenship in a viral post shared on his TikTok account last Friday (April 11).
Mahomes shared a video with the caption "hard launch" showing him kissing Blankenship on the cheek before the two lipped synced 'Poker Face' by Lady Gaga. It's unclear how long the two have been together, but appear to have known each other for some time as they took a picture together at a Drake concert last year.
The younger Mahomes has faced scrutiny over the years amid his brother's emergence as one of the NFL's brightest stars. Jackson faced felony charges of aggravated sexual battery, which were dropped after the alleged victim no longer cooperated with the case and has been criticized for his social media presence.
The younger Mahomes was seen dancing on the number of late Washington Commanders star Sean Taylor during a game in which Washington retired the legendary safety's number while hosting the Chiefs in October 2021. Jackson and Brittany Mahomes, Patrick's wife, were also scrutinized after a viral celebration that showed Brittany spraying champagne onto Chiefs fans from a suite at Arrowhead Stadium after the team's AFC Divisional Round win against the Buffalo Bills in January 2022, as well as several other posts shared on their social media accounts in recent years.
Jackson also received negative attention for flirty comments made on an Instagram post shared by Kayla Nicole, the ex-girlfriend of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, after Nicole made headlines for her statements regarding Kelce's current relationship with pop superstar Taylor Swift.
