Just after Pete Carroll announced the plan to the Seahawks Media that he was naming Drew Lock the starting Quarterback for the Seahawks second preseason game against the Bears, the team announced that Lock has Covid and will miss his start on Thursday.
Just as the QB competition had seen it's first change, with this recent development, it seems as though the job is firmly in Geno Smith's hands to lose to start the season with presumably mostly reserve players playing in the third and final game in the preseason. We'll see if Drew Lock is able to recover and get back in time to challenge to start game 1 against his former team.
