Sounders FC Come Back to Beat Colorado 2-1

Looking for a bounce back match against a struggling Colorado side, Seattle started the match about as poorly as one could hope as Jonathan Lewis got in behind the Sounders back line within the first 3 minutes and made it 1-0 for the away side.

After conceding, Seattle would pour the pressure on, looking for an equalizer. They were playing like a desperate side looking to turn their form around, creating scrappy chances with Jordan Morris noticeably getting more involved in the final third than recent matches, but it did not seem like much was falling for the Rave Green.

Morris would get his chance to put the home side equal, and his poor form behind him, in the 43rd minute when, after a quickly taken free kick fell to Jimmy Medranda's feet, Jordan Morris again found space in behind and finally was able to get the finish just right as he chipped the goalkeeper just inside the box as the angle was closing down, 1-1 into the break.

Just as in the first half, disaster struck early in the second half as well, as the ball was rolling out of bounds Kellen Rowe picked up a questionable second yellow card in the 47th minute for...time wasting? This put the Sounders down to 10 men.

The home side would again fight back as they would not accept anything but 3 points from this match. Albert Rusnak fed a beautiful diagonal through ball to Jordan Morris who was unable to slot it away but was fouled in the box in the process, highlighting his absolute dominance in the danger area behind Colorado's defense, giving them troubles all night. Nico Lodeiro would slot home the Penalty for 2-1 Seattle in the 71st, even with 10 men.

The Sounders would see out the remainder of the match in the driver's seat, an odd position for a team down a man, in the lead to be in, but for the last 20 mins or so, Seattle dominated possession and kept the ball away from dangerous areas to kill out a very impressive come from behind victory 2-1.
